I figured even if it was a total gimmick, I wasn't going to be to put out by $15.
I made the recipe published on the back of the spiralizer's product information. Of course I can't find that label with the recipe now, but I will say really any peanut sauce recipe you can find will suffice. I used one cucumber, two large carrots, and one zucchini.
It was incredibly easy to use the spiralizer and it opens up a whole new world of food possibilities. My husband doesn't particularly like squash, so by replacing an ordinary pasta dish with zucchini and other vegetables and adding a sauce, I not only get him to eat vegetables he normally wouldn't eat, it's low carb and healthy. By the way, he loved this peanut sauce dish. Mission accomplished.
Here are a handful of different and colorful spiralizer recipes for both vegetable and fruit on pinterest. The spiralizer definitely adds color to your dishes!
